Im Jahre 2000 wurde aus der über 26-jährigen Freundschaft von Altfrid Heger und Christof Maischak auch eine berufliche Zusammenarbeit. Gemeinsam in einem Team aus Spezialisten mit Erfahrungen aus dem internationalen Motorsport entwickelten und organisierten Altfrid Heger, als sportlicher Leiter, und Christof Maischak, verantwortlich für die Bereiche Marketing und Koordination, die Tourenwagen Rennserie V8STAR.
Attraktive Technik, begeisternder Rennsport, typischer V8-Sound und der spezielle Eventcharakter zeichneten die Fahrzeuge und die einzigartigen Veranstaltungen dieser herstellerunabhängigen Serie aus. Mit knapp 30 Rennen und Fahrern wie Johnny Cecotto, Roland Asch, Christian Danner, Karl Wendlinger oder Pedro Lamy war die V8STAR eines der absoluten Highlights der deutschen Motorsportszene. Als 1. deutsche Rennserie absolvierte die V8STAR u.a. auch Oval-Rennen nach Vorbild der amerikanischen NASCAR Serie.
Ab 2004 spezialisierten sich Altfrid Heger und Christof Maischak auf die Organisation von Sportfahrertrainings, Events und Veranstaltungen im automobilen Bereich für Hersteller, Händler und Kunden aus verschiedenen Branchen.
Gemeinsam mit Porsche Deutschland entwickelte die HEGERSPORT das Konzept für den Porsche Sports Cup und ist seit 2005 für die Umsetzung und Organisation der kompletten Veranstaltungen, von der Streckenanmietung über die Teilnehmeradministration, bis hin zur finanziellen Abwicklung aller Bereiche verantwortlich.

Out of a 26 year old friendship Altfrid Heger und Christof Maischak teamed up in 2000 to start a new business venture. With their combined individual and professional experience in international motor sport they developed and organised the Touring Car Racing Series V8STAR, in which Altfrid Heger held the position of Sports Director and Christof Maischak being responsible for the marketing and co-ordination.
What singles out the cars and this unique manufacturer free V8STAR series from other events is an attractive technique, inspirational racing, the typical V8 sound and the special racing car characteristics. With nearly 30 races and drivers such as Johnny Cecotto, Roland Asch, Christian Danner, Karl Wendlinger and Pedro Lamy, the V8STAR was an absolute highlight in the German motor racing calendar. The V8STAR set an example as being the first German Racing Series, which was also an oval race track circuit based on the American NASCAR series.
In 2004 Altfrid Heger and Christof Maischak specialised in the organisation of sports car driver training and motor sport events which included working with various manufacturers, dealers and clients.
Together with Porsche Germany HEGERSPORT developed the concept for the Porsche Sports Cup and since 2005 are responsible for execution and organisation of the entire event. This includes the leasing of the race track through to the attendee administration and up to and including all the financial transactions.
