Altfrid Heger

Im Alter von 22 Jahren fuhr Altfrid Heger 1980 sein erstes Rennen auf der legendären Nürburgring Nordschleife. Über den Renault Europapokal, die Formel 3 und Formel 3000 konnte er als Werksfahrer für BMW Titel- und Rennsiege einfahren. So feierte Altfrid Heger u.a. mit BMW drei 24h-Siege (Spa 1986 und 1988, Nürburgring 1990), die Tourenwagen Europameisterschaft, Siege in der DTM (108 Starts) und in der Tourenwagen Weltmeisterschaft. Weitere Werkseinsätze für Honda, Peugeot und Audi folgten.

1993 konnte Altfrid Heger mit 4 Siegen die Meisterschaft des 1. Porsche Supercups gewinnen und wurde im gleichen Jahr 2. im Porsche Carrera Cup. Ein weiterer Höhepunkt war der Sieg auf Porsche 996 RSR bei den 24 Stunden auf dem Nürburgring.

Seine Erfahrungen konnte Heger nach seiner Laufbahn als Rennfahrer in der V8STAR als Test- und Entwicklungsfahrer und als sportlicher Leiter weitergeben.
Noch immer sind seine Erfahrungen als Rennfahrer gefragt. So fuhr er 2008 und 2009 im VW-Werksteam auf VW Scirocco erfolgreich bei den 24h-Nürburgring.
Für Audi war er bei der Entwicklung des Audi R8 mitverantwortlich.

Als Testfahrer und Instruktor ist Altfrid Heger seit vielen Jahren für Porsche und Audi tätig. Fahrsicherheits- und Renntrainings sind seine Spezialität. Dabei gehen mehr als 5.000 Renntaxifahrten auf sein Erfahrungskonto und begeistern jeden Teilnehmer immer wieder aufs Neue.

Altfrid Heger

In 1980, at the age of 22 years, Altfrid Heger took part in his first motor racing event at the legendary Nuremburg Ring, at the Northern Loop track. Through his Renault European Cup, the Formula 3 and Formula 3000 racing experience, he became a driver for BMW winning various titles and races. Altfrid celebrated further wins which included three times with BMW (Spa 1986 and 1988, Nuremburg Ring 1990), the Saloon Car European Championship, Winner in the DTM (108 Starts) and in the Saloon Car World Championships. He later also worked as test driver for Honda, Peugeot and Audi.

In 1993, with a total of 4 wins, he was the overall winner of the first Porsche Super Cups Championship, and in the same year he came 2nd in the Porsche Carrera Cup. A further highlight was winning the 24 Hour Porsche 996 RSR at the Nürburgring.

After his successful racing career, Altfrid passed on his experience to the V8STAR as test and development driver, and held the position as sports manager. His experience as a racing driver is still in demand, in 2008 and 2009 he successfully drove for the VW Works Team in a VW Scirocco at the 24 Hour Nuremburg Ring. For Audi he was jointly responsible for the development of the Audi R8.

For years now Altfrid has been active as a test driver and instructor for Porsche and Audi. His speciality lies in driver safety and race training. In addition he has over 5000 race taxi trips to his credit and impresses every participant anew with his expertise and finesse.
